[ Among the newly awakened angels is a three-eyed young lady. Bewildered, she blinks at the strange surroundings primarily with her lower two eyes. The upper one doesn't seem to blink with them. Her halo, at some angles, may look like a pair of antennae or perhaps a little sprout growing out of her head.
On the "ground" nearby is a very large, metallic lance with gold detailing. There's a brief glimpse of alarm in her face, but then she sweeps out her hand in the air above it, as if to beckon it to her hand.
Nothing happens.
She does it again. Nothing continues to happen. After a moment she finally gives up on vaguely gesturing and bends down to actually pick up the stupidly large lance. ]
[ ii. greeting ]
[ After having a few moments to orient herself, the young lady turns her attention to one of the strangers here, waving one hand eagerly while the other holds the lance steady and upright. ]
Oh, hello! I beg your pardon... Would you happen to know where we are right now?
[ There's a hopeful look on her face as she looks at you with all three of her eyes. ]
[ iii. menu ]
[ At some point, she will find the cafe and peruse the touchscreen menu while still holding her very large lance in her other hand. ]
"Chicken nuggets"... Er... [ She whips her head away from the menu to gaze out at the vast emptiness through the cafe window, then slowly looks back to the "chicken nugget forest" with deep contemplation and concern. ]
... But... where does the chicken come from?
[ iv. wildcard ]
[ Gimme a starter and I'll roll with it! Or PC me. ]
No idea. But I think there's something else about any chickens we should consider.
[The lance doesn't get much of a blink because he's used to being in the presence of lances and spears, the third eye is...he just chalks it up to the angel costume somehow. All that is to him less relevant than whatever thought just crossed his mind]
-- I was wondering the same thing! I've not seen a single chicken since we arrived here. Isn't that odd? And to refer to them as 'nuggets' is such an interesting term, too.
From large farms. Humans force them into terrible conditions so they can raise as many as possible and then slaughter them to make cheap food like chicken nuggets.
[But he's,,, reaching for the selection anyway???]
[ zhongli watches this happen with a mild, polite sort of curiosity, having gotten his wits about him and... not quite figuring out what was going on, he at least has had the time to test things out and reach within to find an emptiness.
he clears his throat to get her attention, hoping to not startle her too much. ]
I noticed much the same when I awoke, young lady. [ indicating his own lance. ] That there was no response where there should have been.
[ well, that sure is drakodios there on the... whatever is passing for a floor here, which is more immediately recognisable to him than the girl standing near it when he's seeing her from behind without all her usual accoutrements.
once he sees her reaching for it, though, it registers... as does the fact that she's in the same place as him. ]

Right? I assume it's some kind of food, but without knowing where the meat comes from, I don't know that I can bring myself to try it...
