I can only imagine the jobs were left to two separate people, in that case... I do hope we'll be able to sort out our answers soon, though I do feel a few things are quite self-explanatory.
[ And it is like a reflective floor that can upskirt them... They're perverts. ]
I received a wrap. [ Which he isn't wearing because it wouldn't really defeat the humiliating part. It's too late. ] I never imagined the afterlife to attempt being hospitable.
[This poor weary lad with his exhausted vibes. What a whole mood. thats me aki, lucas is not weary or exhausted in the least.]
The Hades that I'm familiar with is reserved for a very specific type of individual. [He was never concerned about ending up there!] Though this is unfamiliar as far as Heaven goes, it could certainly be much worse.
... Perhaps this is a waiting room. [ Brainstorming since he's been given a braincell to use instead of just being dead dead. ] And we'll be properly sorted.
Then those who are meant to see Heaven for what it is will.
[ He motions his hands over to the elusive shapes here and there. ]
[Just humming to himself as he mulls this comparison over. LIKE, IT SEEMS LIKE IT COULD CHECK?? But it's so weird...]
I suppose it makes as much sense as anything else here. Though I do wonder what's meant to happen to those who are sorted elsewhere. It seems too cruel to let someone have a glimpse of an afterlife they can't claim...
[Thanks for not being anti religious people, Jacopo Jacoposon.]
There are some truly divine people in the world, but it's true enough that the average human does carry sins in their day to day life. There's still a great difference between a person who carries a few sins and a sinner, even so.
[ Sometimes you hear enough churchy things, so you're used to it. ]
You'll hear from a number of people that few sins still make a sinner, then others preach what you do. [ Jacopo doesn't quite resonate with any of them, but he gets it. A half-shrug. ] I'm sure across a couple of doctrines, I'd be damned.
He's expression falls just a bit at that, though. CRESTFALLEN... It's always so sad to hear people call themselves sinners, however true or false it may be.]
Mm... And yet, you're here for now, yes? So perhaps that bodes well for you regardless.

[ they're.... sexy.... ]
This is humiliating.

At the very least, they included a few extra garments in the boxes. Did you receive anything you could cover up with?

What was your vision for the afterlife, then?
no subject
Nothing. I believed if you died, then that's it.
no subject
Ah... [That's so grim. Damn. Imagine not believing in any sort of afterlife at all...] ...Do you find it a decent surprise, or one that you dislike?
no subject
[ It's neutral, but more on the somber and distant side. Weary, too. ]
You seem unperturbed for the most part, but we could have been sent to a fiery hell instead.

[A LOVING GOD WOULDN'T DO THIS.]

[ BE REALISTIC ]
I wouldn't put it past angels to turn deaf to the pleas of sinners, anyway.
no subject
[HE'S TOO RELIGIOUS TO BE REALISTIC. But, a little curiously:]
Would you consider yourself to be a sinner, monsieur?
no subject
[ Matter-of-fact, not judgmental or anything. He won't yuck your yum for this. ]
Is there anyone free of sin?

... Yes, I'm here getting sad looks of pity.
[ Lucas didn't even look that sad. Jacopo is just being dramatic. ]
no subject
This is so funny though this MAN. He immediately looks a little contrite, instead.]
My apologies; I meant no ill. It just sounded so very resigned...

But with a wry smile. ]
We're dead, so what more can we be?
no subject
Hopeful, I'd say, but you do seem to be a bit dire.
no subject
I act appropriately for circumstances unless you want to point me to something to be hopeful for.
no subject
Is there not quite a good deal to be hopeful for? The path ahead is widely unknown, after all.
[Are you a half empty or half full glasser, Jacopo... He thinks he already knows the answer to this.]
no subject
Normally, for many, that is something to fear.
