[ as he says this he like rapidly starts messing with his holster util he pulls out a big book, and then flips it open to the back. frowns, briefly, turns to the last page, and then grabs his cute message pen and starts writing. ]
...a coalition of ships... eradicate the abundance, the guidance of the hunt... the - can you spell that for me? The ship.
[ immediately - he's still writing, in neat, elegant handwriting, recounting what jiaoqiu said, and though his head is down as he does so, there's a smile on his face. ]
I've read many a history of a far-flung place - just because I would never have been able to travel there, does that mean I wouldn't enjoy the tale? It's not so different than a book - in fact, it's better than a book, to hear it straight from the mouth of someone who lived there.
I may be dead, but I find myself feeling very lucky.
[ sorry this is the best day of his entire life (afterlife)
with just utter, complete genuineness, almost a little breathlessly joyful: ]
I would love to, Jiaoqiu. [ like. wow.
he stops writing, sticks the pen behind his ear, shuts his book, and then tucks it into his holster again, readjusting the straps. give him a second. ]
Though... I didn't think that Vlderians were especially different in lifespan - surely, you cannot be that much older than I am...?
The Vlderians - a tribe of people from Rodinia, with fox features. Ears and tails, just like you! Though, I've heard there are also a few Vlderian rabbits, but most are foxes.
[ he reaches up and touches his own head where the ears are on jiaoqiu. ]
I suppose it must be different, if it were a different place, with a different name - but quite similar! I've read many books about them, though I've never met one in person.
Well - my goodness, if I might say so, you look very good for your age! I don't think there's anyone that could live beyond a standard human lifespan in Rodinia, Vlderians or otherwise...!
How delightful! I was already excited to hear your stories, but now I can hardly wait.
[ he nods!! excited!!! and then trots to catch up so they can head towards the little cafe area. ] Thank you for offering to share so kindly, too! This place - for all the circumstances, it's wonderful.

I'm afraid I don't have an encyclopedic knowledge, but I can tell you what I know from lived experience. We don't have much else to do, do we?
Are you hungry, child? We can share over a meal.

I see. It could be that you are from a planet unconnected to inter-astral travel... A different environment would produce different results.
[ thoughtful... ]
Well. I'm around two hundred and... something years old. I've forgotten the exact number.

--I'm sorry, did you say two hundred?!

Yes?
