[At first Ali doesn't pay much attention to the location, nor the hideous outfit he has been forced into. No, the first thing he does after waking up is search through the crowd, clearly looking for someone. But eventually his concern drops into dismay, and he gives up the search.]
I think I may have arrived in the wrong location.
[Not that he sees a service desk to talk to anyone about it.]
cell phone
[He is nothing if not resourceful, and a gift basket is a useful tool in the situations. The scarf is quickly thrown over his shoulders, but then his attention turns to the cell phone. He eagerly picks it up and starts flipping through the available apps.]
...huh. This looks like a newer model than mine.
egg
[There is a red egg. Ali is staring at said red egg.
He doesn't know how to feel about this. Eggs shouldn't look like this!!!]
Just be careful. Not everyone will take well the reminder.
[It's painful, after all! But at least Akihiko wasn't one of those people. He's got a lot of frustration about his situation, but he's doing his darndest to keep that deep down and not lash out at random people]
A newer... model? Pardon me. [ for both overhearing this and in hoping to get his attention. ] I'm afraid I'm not familiar with the device we received. Would you mind terribly..?
[His mind instantly races through all of the options that could possibly explain how someone doesn't know about a smartphone. Maybe he's lived under a rock for a few decades, or maybe he's one of those people who doesn't use technology. Or he could just be really, really old and set in his ways too, Ali supposes.
In the end the reason doesn't matter though, and Ali will help this man regardless.]
It's a phone. I guess they're technically called mobile phones, but language has evolved rapidly and most people just call them phones now. You can use them to call people, send messages to someone, or even play games. These ones look like they can take pictures too.
[ he's oblivious to this turmoil that he's caused, and is instead a patient listener as he pulls his own phone out from his egg's nest box to examine it with a quiet interest. ]
I see, so that would be the Kamera lens there... [ he's looking at the back of it. ] And it would function a bit like the shop's screen, I suppose, considering its glass surface?
[The lack of service desk is a true tragedy... But he'll just look over from where he'd been gazing upon his squishy lil toy, giving this lad a curious look.]
Is that so? Where were you anticipating arriving...?

Arrival
[If you find a service desk anywhere please tell Akihiko, he wants to ask questions too]

[So many people here look so young...tragedy must have hit most everyone here.]
You're...dead, right?
no subject
[Still, no point in denying it]
But yeah, I died. I'm sure we're all on that same boat. This is...some afterlife.

[So he actually did die, huh...]

egg
It's really something, isn't it?
no subject
I guess I'll have to take care of it now. They really should have asked us first before giving us responsibility.
[He might be acting put-out by it, but he could just ditch the egg if he wanted to, so.]
no subject
Yes, it is a lot to put on someone without asking.... but isn't the little egg so cute? I wonder what it'll hatch into.

[Imagine if the game was about taking care of newborns. Awful.]

[Pleasant, perfect weather...]
Ah - may I ask for your name? Mine is Lucas.
